What Can I Expect At My First Appointment?

Your first visit to Innovative Dermatology involves a few steps so that we can get to know you. To understand what to expect, please read through this page. You will find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more. There are background information about our committed staff as well as our policies for first office visit. You can also save some time by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment.

Each initial appointment consists of a consultation explaining diagnosis and treatment options. Simple procedures such as biopsies, freezing of warts, simple removal of lesions) can be performed the same day. However, a more extensive surgical procedure such as excision will require an initial evaluation and a second appointment to provide surgical treatment on another day.

What Do I Bring To My First Appointment?

The following information should be provided at the time of your initial consultation:

• If you have medical insurance, bring the insurance card as well as information required such as subscriber’s name and date of birth.
• Photo ID.
• Referral from your primary care physician if it is required by your insurance.

Please give the following information to your primary care doctor to obtain a referral to see us.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
